We enjoy taking walks on our local farm land and finding the perfect wood to turn into your walking/hiking stick. Our walking sticks are dried for one year before we begin the work of bark removal and sanding. They are then embellished with original hand painted scenes, animal tracks, carving, wood burning or left plain. The final step includes several coats of spar urethane to obtain a polished finish look that is also water resistant.
Each walking stick is individually crafted, therefore, no two are exactly alike. If you desire one of the scenes shown here, we will attempt to duplicate it as closely as possible. We thank God for His creations and the talent He has given us to share with you. Walking sticks are not only for people who are in need of support for walking assistance. They are very useful tools that can be used to clear your path of obstructions and spider webs as well as a handy protection aid. Of course walking sticks are also very helpful in keeping your balance crossing creeks, extra power for climbing hills, and reducing stress going down hill. One bit of advice when you are going down hill…never “plant” your walking/hiking stick so that it is angled toward your head in case you were to slip. Add a spike/rubber tip combo which is easily changed for the versatility of a spike for winter or outdoor use and a rubber tip for summer or indoor use.
